Cheque Handover to CHAS
The Headmasters of both Fettes College and Fettes Prep were delighted to be able to hand over £26,000 + to the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) raised by this year’s Fettes runs.
The cheque was handed over to Mrs Young, mother of Verity, an inspirational Fettesian in whose memory the money was raised. The money will specifically go to Rachel House where Verity was cared for in her final few weeks.
This total does not include the gift aid which will be applied and will be supplemented by the money raised in the Fettes Prep Wine, Cheese and Chocolate evening which stands at close to £2,200.
We were delighted to have the largest ever participants in 2010 Fettes runs and we are proud to say that this is the largest amount of money we have ever raised from the event.
We will update you with how the money raised is being spent.
